Effective May 2017  INCOME GUIDELINES
Family Size
Maximum Yearly Family Income
Note: The above information provides general guidelines. Other conditions may apply.
  1. The annual income for a family to be eligible to receive subsidy is 200% of the Federal Poverty Income Guideline (FPIG) or less. This translates to $47,700 gross income for a family of four.
  2. Each adult family member must work at least 20 hours per week OR attend school and work a minimum of 10 hours per week.
  3. Children are eligible for care from birth to age 13. There are exceptions for a child with a disability.
  4. The parent is responsible to pay a portion of their day care costs. This is the parent’s co-payment which may be as little as $5.00 per week and varies according to your income and family size. CCIS will pay the difference between the daycare costs and the parent’s co-payment.
  5. The parent(s) must reside in Lackawanna County.
  6. The hours of care must match the hours of work/school or sleep time (if the parent is employed 3rd shift).
