What Is Subsidized Child Care? |
|
| |
Child Care Information Services helps eligible families pay for daycare while they work and/or attend school. This is a program for income eligible families who also meet nonfinancial eligibility criteria (see eligibility requirements). |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Each household pays a family co-payment and the CCIS, (Child Care Information
Services) through the Department of Public Welfare, pays the balance to the daycare of the parent’s choice. A waiting list for funding is possible. |

Lackawanna County CCIS also provides services to the community regardless of income, age, race, religion, or handicap. Some services include:
- CCIS can provide a listing of county daycare providers, services, and special programs available.
- CCIS can provide information on additional community social service agencies and programs.
- CCIS can refer parents to other community resources.
- CCIS can provide parent education on quality child care practice and child development issues.
- CCIS can assist in finding providers to meet your individual family needs.
